Final Episode – Saying Goodbye

“While someone might review this book and be like ‘That ending was really sudden’, I think overall time will tell that this was the right ending.”

Hey folks. For seventy-seven episodes and almost exactly five years, we’ve enjoyed chatting with you and each other about the state of YA, tropes loved and despised, bad adaptations, and pretty shitty covers. But things in both us and the industry have changed, and we’ve decided that it’s time to call it quits. We discuss it in a little more detail inside, but this will be the last episode released on the Papercuts Podcast feed. It’s time for us to say goodbye.

Oh, no. I understand you have to move on, it’s just you guys were such a source of strength and comfort for me. I suffered from post partum depression. You’re podcast helped chase the shadows away. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you well in all your future endeavors.

Thank you so much for listening, Sophia. We’re really happy and honored that we could have helped at all, and we’re so sorry to disappoint you D; If it’s helpful at all, there’s still some stuff (for free!) on the Gumroad if ever need a pick-me-up.

      Thank you again for listening!

T_____T Sophia, thank you for being our listener. I’m so glad we were able to help you in your time of need. I hope that the post partum gets easier to deal with for you. ::hugs:: Have you checked out Teen Creeps Podcast? They’ve got a bunch of RL Stine and Christopher Pike and other nostalgia-driven book reviews. If anyone has other recommendations, I’ll pass them along! <3

When I saw this episode I was worried something had happened that was forcing you all to quit, so I’m glad to hear that you all just feel it’s time to move on to other things. Thank you guys so much for this podcast; I am very sad to see it go, but definitely understand your reasons for deciding to discontinue this project! Will definitely keep checking in with Gumroad to see what else you guys put up over time, and I wish you all the best with your present and future endeavours.

Jason, thank you so much for being our listener. ::hugs:: I’m really glad, too, that we were able to end the project on our terms rather than because of something negative or traumatic. It feels a lot better to end a thing than to let it peter out, or to be forced to close before its time for sure! I hope you find lots of other fun podcasts and that when we have some more Gumroad fun that you enjoy yourself there as well. 😀
