Ah, you guys finally got to see it! It was released several months ago (or is it a year?) in my country (Indonesia), with my friends and it was soooo damn boring and looks so cheap. I was literally falling asleep. Granted, YA Paranormal Romance genre is not my cup of tea to begin with, but my friend, who is a fan, found this movie boring. Reminded me of first three movies of Twilight series.

I think with the hard flops of Fifth Wave, and final film of the Divergent series (I’m still waiting for the Ascendant TV movies dammit!), the YA movie genre is dying. I don’t know what to think about that. There are a lot of YA books that deserve much bigger audience, but they picked more bad series/ adapted them unsuccessfully than getting it right. And the wide assumptions of the younger generation doesn’t care about YA genre anymore (especially Paranormal Romance) just discourage studios to adapting YA books. On the other hand, the less likely Hollywood adapting Hush Hush or Carter Aimee’s Goddess series the better.
